AVOIDANCE
AVOIDANCE is a narrative, short film using dance to explore themes of loss and conflict.
“AVOIDANCE started with a conversation about conflict and that became the central theme of our work. Conflicts can make us feel helpless or trapped, they can produce intense insecurities or reinforce the strongest beliefs, they can band people together or tear us apart, and ultimately they are moments when we discover something about ourselves. What we discovered in creating AVOIDANCE was that even though we had all faced very different conflicts in our lives, the feelings we experienced were not so different at all. The process brought us closer together, and the film that emerged is a reflection of our shared vulnerability.”
